This piece is superbly handcrafted with a solid 14k gold frame and a round shaped carving in genuine ivory depicting a Chinese Emperor seated on a throne and holding a gift box on his hand. The Emperor's attire displays delicate decoration in black enamel. Our elephant ivory is pre-act or pre-ban, that is, it was imported into the country before CITES was implemented. Pre-Act or pre-ban ivory is legal to sell, but cannot be re-exported. In addition, new ivory cannot be imported for sale.
